The basement floor was poured last Monday and then we sat idle for a whole week while it rained. Dang it! This is a photo of one of the light wells. The area in the middle (with the protruding lumber) is for drainage. If I understand correctly, there will be a sump pump there.
Can I just say that I am dying of jealousy that you will have a basement? All of our relatives back east have basements and they are just awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty excited about the basement too! I've never had one before so I'm not quite sure what to expect but I'm thinking it'll be cooler down there in the summer. And all that extra storage space makes me giddy!
