Foyer Door Arrived

Our beautiful foyer door (made especially for us by David Rosenquist) arrived yesterday. I took this photo with my iphone so it really doesn't do it justice but you can still see how lovely it is!

Siding!

I really hoped the first image of the siding on the house would be on the FRONT of the house but this is all I have to offer so far. All of those hundreds of nail holes need to be filled and sanded and a fresh layer of paint added and then this wall will be splendid!

castle playroom

Oooh! This room really makes my heart flutter! It's going to be so much fun to be a kid in this house!

staircase

Drywall is up and taped. Just need to finish that area up at the very top. The three niches are for mirrors. Hopefully that next time I post a photo of the stairs, there will be a beautiful wrought iron stair rail to show! The one we picked is really beautiful.

Gwen's bathroom tile

They started the bathroom tile for Gwen and Maddy's bathrooms today. This is a porcelain tile (color: Crema Luna). It's inexpensive but really beautiful so we're not restricting it to just the shower. I love tiled walls!

master shower

The fancy tile is up on the back of the master bathroom shower. Love the sparkle!

Update:  This week, the marble slabs were fabricated and installed and the result is pretty nice!

No grout yet and we're still waiting for some other sections to arrive to really finish everything nicely.   Meanwhile, here's a closeup of the shower niche.

The siding is up around the front door but it's not painted yet.
